With three office locations and coverage across the entire northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana municipal water and wastewater market, Dahme offers its services to our ever-growing customer base with the support of experienced administrative personnel and project managers/estimators with over 300 years’ cumulative industry experience, and over thirty tradespeople specializing in water and wastewater construction and representing both LU597 Pipefitters and LU130 Plumbers. Dahme Mechanical Industries, Inc. continues to grow and expand our customer offerings and will do so with the same level of proficiency and responsibility to product quality and customer relations that has been the cornerstone of the company since 1994.

Our History

Dahme Plumbing and Heating was started in 1965 in the garage and basement of Bill and Bettie Dahme of Arlington Heights, IL. They ran the company successfully for almost three decades. In late 1994, Rob LaMantia and Paul Neubauer decided to make their own mark and purchased Dahme Plumbing and Heating.

With the Dahme name, customer base, tools and equipment at their disposal, Rob and Paul sought to diversify the business. Rob’s main focus was on maintaining and building service plumbing that Dahme already had established, continuing as Dahme Plumbing & Heating and growing that sector of the business. Paul pursued opportunities in the water and wastewater infrastructure construction market, doing so under the Dahme Mechanical Industries name.

Thru some modest mergers and acquisitions of other plumbing and heating shops and personnel, Rob grew Dahme Plumbing and Heating’s customer base and footprint, and eventually the service company provided coverage across the entire metropolitan area. Rob retired from Dahme Plumbing and Heating in late 2019. The service plumbing and heating component of the company was gradually closed by attrition caused by technician retirements in early 2025.

Paul quickly grew the water and wastewater construction portion of the business, and Dahme Mechanical Industries hired Kris Komorn as a project manager at the beginning of 2005. From that point forward, Dahme Mechanical Industries has grown steadily from very humble beginnings to its current iteration as the pre-eminent water and wastewater treatment mechanical piping and plumbing contractor in the local market.
